Polarized Sunglasses
Polarized sunglasses have rapidly gained in popularity over the last few years. A polaroid lens has a filter in between the two lens surfaces that absorbs polarized light rays. By absorbing these rays, glare on flat surfaces such as the street and water is virtually eliminated. Polaroid lenses are available in both non-prescription and prescription form.
Eyeglass House always recommends adding an anti-reflective coating to the back surface of polaroid lenses to eliminate surface glare on the lenses and allow the wearer more comfortable vision. We can also apply a mirror coating to the front surface for those of you who are constant facing the direction of the sun.
