Meet The Team

Joseph Lerner

Joseph has owned Eyeglass House since July 1990. He became a NYS licensed optician in 1983 and trained for 8 years at an upscale NYC eyewear boutique before purchasing Eyeglass House. Joseph has designed and nationally distributed his own frame line, he is also a beta tester for a prominent manufacturer of lens edging equipment.  Joseph is married and has two children. He enjoys skiing and running.

 

 
 

Gail DeClue 

Gail is a NYS licensed optician and brings 10 years of experience to Eyeglass House. In addition to helping our customers select eyewear that match their style and needs, she is also responsible for the operation of our digital finishing lab. Gail orders our premium lens materials used to manufacture our high quality eyewear.  She is married and has one child. Gail is an avid skier and enjoys crossword puzzles.

 

 Ilissa Cerbone

Ilissa became a NYS licensed optician in 1992 and has worked at Eyeglass House for 18 years. She has a fantastic fashion sense and is wonderful at choosing frames for those dificult to fit faces. Children take a liking immediately to Ilissa because of her warm personality and patience. Ilissa is responsible for selecting our up to the minute designer sunglass styles. She is married, the mother of two boys, and loves to travel.

Karen Weber

Karen is the receptionist at Eyeglass House. She has been empolyed here for 9 years and is responsible for coordinating all the eye examination appontments. She is also the head of our insurance billing department. Karen has three children and loves yoga.

 

 
 

 Dr. Allison Yaris

Allison received her doctorate degree from SUNY State College of Optometry. Her undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Michigan. She has been practicing at Eyeglass House for the past nine years. Allison is extremely proficient at the diagnosis and treatment of ocular infections and pathology. She also embraces the challenge of difficult contact lens fittings. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband and three children.

 

 
 

Dr. Caryl Castro 

Caryl graduated from SUNY College of Optometry and has been practicing for 16 years. She loves the challenge of hard to fit contact lens patients and specializes in toric contact lens fitting. Caryl is licensed to treat all eye diseases and co-manages post op laser surgery patients. She is married with three children and loves going to the beach.
